Make a point to appreciate the beauty of nature today, and look for it where you think you will least find it. No matter how small the example might be, look for it. It may just be noticing a red winged blackbird as you sit waiting at a stoplight and appreciating the wonder of its ability to fly. Think about all that must come together in this world for that bird to be able to be there and have its existence in that moment. Beginning with its birth from an egg to locating an insect today for its lunch, there are infinite connections to a life force to sustain that bird. Ask yourself what continues to drive its heart to beat just one more time.

Think about how your wife came to meet you, marry you and provide you with happiness in the time you spent together. Is this not a miraculous course of events? Of course it is. I believe we are no different than the bird in being sustained in our existence and guided to our destinies with others. Catching these glimpses of nature constantly reminds us that there exists a much larger presence all around us that is in control, every second of the day. Reflecting on examples of nature that are all around us can convince us that this same spiritual life force will carry us into the future. So, stay connected to nature in any way you can.
